Make-up

How much are gender roles defined by objects? Can one woman be more of a woman than another by possessing things like purses, shoes or make-up? This project is about the cultural artifacts and ideas that I refuse to buy into. None of the accessories pictured belong to me.

I love how the entire project turned out. Printed 13x19, it's the most professional project I've done so far. I am still blown away by my results. Usually I have grand ideas and they turn out looking almost as good as I envisioned. This entire project turned out exactly how I wanted it to; in some photographs, it turned out even better than I had originally envisioned.

Also, I am in love with coloured lights and black backgrounds. These images remind me of my concert photography for that reason.
